  • as i've been reading and studying the Book of Revelation with my small group, Gadite Nation, and from my sis., who was taught at IHOP [International House of Prayer], i can't even begin to describe what i'm gaining...

as i've been driving in the snow/ice this past week, a thought/question came to my mind:
is __ [my job or whatever]__ worth dying for?  [ie. by driving to work in the snow/ice and if i happen to get into an accident or worse]
    i immediately answer NO.
But, Jesus Christ IS WORTH DYING FOR.

so, for me, to live is Christ.
    to die is gain.

    though my flesh is weak.
    my spirit is willing!

i want to only fear the Lord.
and be fearless of man or death or tribulation or anything else.

i, too, say, Lord, come quickly!

    * there are some great new Christmas songs out this year which have quickly become my favorites!

  • how cool is this?!

today i made myself a decaf hazelnut soy cappaccino and as i always attempt to create art, this abstract shape actually came out as a hummingbird feeding on a flowerdo you see it??    (my phone camera isn't very good quality and does not do justice )  i had to show my co-workers and even go as far as to actually take a picture with my phone.

    it made me  .
    ok...  God makes me .

and why it's especially significant to me:

  • thought:  how we celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas should be switched.

doncha think that Thanksgiving should be the holiday when people buy/give gifts for one another?  to show love, appreciation, gratitude, etc.  (not that giving gifts is the only way to show love.  there are 5 love languages after all ;)
and Christmas should be a time of celebrating & feasting together with family & friends.  as people usually do when celebrating birthdays.  since we are celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ

*edit:  at my birthday party, people don't give gifts to each other.     then i got a revelation (insight, understanding, justification?)...  if we believe Christ lives in us, then when we give gifts to others, we're actually giving gifts to Jesus [who lives in them :]   huh.  maybe...?  lol.

then again, this world is so backward.

i think i may start this switch in my life.  my world.

another thought:  imagining my future kids (natural &/or adopted) in this world...  doing greater things than i ever could.

question:  what is your love language?

  • i my family!

though my friends wanted me to host a Thanksgiving Dinner at my place, i had to first discuss this with God.  and i felt He wanted me to spend it with my family.  one confirmation was that my brothers wanted to spend it with our gomo [aunt] and i was designated to make/set up the plan.

my family works hard.  (God bless them! :)  and we all wanted to simply rest, spend time with one another, eat together.  nothing too fancy this year.  my gomo said she could make her kimchi jigae.  i was stoked!    i her kimchi jigae.  she makes the BEST!  so i was happy about that.

the next day, i get a v-msg. from her saying that she bought a 10 lb. ham.    i mean, don't get me wrong.  it's really sweet of her.  but she didn't remember that my brother no longer eats pork, and i don't eat meat.    so then i ask her if she could please not add any pork to the kimchi jigae [upon brother's request].  she says that it has to have some kind of meat in it to taste good.    she's like, how about tuna?  that's fish.  you can eat fish, right?  (lol, cute)

then i felt i should ask another lil sista-friend to join me/my family [because she really wanted to come to my place for the 3rd year, haha].  i didn't think she would actually accept my invitation, but to my surprise, she did.  haha.  and i'm glad.
she's so cute.  she's like, is the chigae spicy?  she's not korean and can't really take spicy.  lol.

then it kinda grew to more...
my brother says he'll make a turkey.
my friend says she'll make green beans and cranberry sauce.
i said i'd bring a dessert.  i'm bringing pumpkin pie with cool whip.  i guess we should have this during Thanksgiving season.    lol.
though i just wanna eat rice and kimchi jigae!  hahaha.

we're gonna watch "Home Alone" as we always do on Thanksgiving.
    i've been craving Christmas movies!
and we'll most likely play games!  with my family, we always seem to laugh a lot and have fun!

so i wish you all a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
however and whoever you spend the day with.

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.  1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT

    You are loved!~

  • the other day my friend and i went to the mall to walk around [after we had eaten].
we stopped in a shop full of accessories.
there was this cute, little girl with long brown hair.
we were both looking at the new Christmas earrings.
i smiled at her.  then i asked her which one was her favorite.
    she just looked at me.
then i asked her which one she liked best.
    she pointed at a pair.
i looked closely at the pair and told her they were really cute.
she walked away with her family.
i browsed the rest of the selection, and then realized that she really had picked out the best one.
i ended up buying that pair.
they are super cute!  my friend also affirmed.
i will be wearing them quite often in December...  haha.
i would start now... but figure i don't want to outwear them...    lol.

    it was a sweet moment.
it made me see that in every woman, there is still a little girl inside.
... recognizing cute, pretty things.  having an innocence ...

oh yeah, in case i don't update soon again...

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
